[origin: US6147015A] A flexible device with fire-barrier properties has a plurality of fibrous sheets and dry particles comprising molecules that are chemically and physically stable at room temperature and that generate an endothermic reaction upon raising the temperature. The sheets are joined together and the dry particles are inserted between the fibers of each sheet by needle-punching.
