[origin: WO9700987A1] Described is an installation for the production of at least one knitted ribbon (10) including crochet-clad rubber threads (8), the installation having at least one ribbon-knitting device (20) with needles (28), weft-yarn guides (48, 50), rubber-thread guides (46) and warp-yarn guides (52) mounted on respective rods (44, 51, 54). In order to enable the crochet-clad rubber threads (8) to be produced and used in a particularly simple, inexpensive and reliable way, the installation has an integral crocheting device (82) on which naked rubber threads (2) are crochet-clad with yarn (4) by means of crochet-cladding needles (86) and yarn guides (104) in such a way that each crochet-clad rubber thread (8) is produced directly on-line and fed directly to the ribbon-knitting device (20).
