[origin: EP0820713A2] The turning stool has stand frame (10,10a,10b) on which a seat section (18) of a seat plate (19) is rotatably arranged. The seat has at least one rocking support (17) mounted on the stand frame prestressed in a central position via a spring device (22) and is rotatable between a backward position (18b) and a forward position (18a). The spring device is anchored in the upper region of the base's stand frame and may be contained in a foot section (32) of the stand frame (10c) from which the rocking support stems. The rocking support may be fixed on a height adjustable carrier section (31) of the stand frame.
