[origin: EP0820714A2] The furniture comprises box-shaped flat panels (2) and support parts (3,4) connected to each other. The panels are provided with slot openings (6,7) on an upper side (5) and/or on a lower side. These slots correspond with the support parts and partly accommodate them. The panels are provided with wedge-shaped, releasably arranged insert components for the slot openings. The insert components have a cover surface that terminates at the upper side of the panels. The support parts and/or the panels may have push-in limiting devices in the area of the slots. The plate and support parts are made of MDF material which is homogeneous and has a very high resistance to bending.
