Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0820821A1] The procedure which uses a die (2) and a matrix (4) with a flange clamp (6) consists of making an indentation (9) to a given depth (p) in the sheet metal (1), and then cutting out the workpiece with a separate cutting die or with the same die used for the indentation. Separate indentations of the same shape can be made in two metal sheets which are then placed one on top of the other with the indentations aligned for cutting out with a single die.
