Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19621857A1] The machine is used for handling packages or containers on a conveyor belt. It may especially be used for sticking labels onto a series of plastics bottles (1). Printed adhesive labels (5) are supplied on a plastics band (4) from a first spool (15) and, after the labels have been removed, the empty band is wound up on another spool. A cylindrical brush-type roller (8) presses the plastics band and the adhesive labels against the bottles. The machine includes a sensor (17) for detecting the presence of the printed labels on the band, and there is a guide member on the other side of the band.
