[origin: EP0821101A2] A moisturising device (33) installed on the drying section (1) of a machine for making a web of material (37), especially paper or paper board, has a control device (36), which activates the moisturising system (33) so as to cool the drying cylinders (3,5,7,9) in the event of a web break. Also claimed is a process for wetting a transport belt on the drying section of such a machine in which the moisturising device is activated in the event of a web break.
