[origin: EP0821294A1] The push button comprises an operating head (5) attached to an operating rod (10). The operating head is sprung (6) against the body of the watch (3) and the operating rod passes through a hole (2) in the watch body. The operating rod has a throat (12) housing an O=ring and a reduced section portion (13) at the end of the main section (11). A retaining sleeve (20) fits over the reduced section portion (13) of the operating rod whose end (17) is riveted to secure the sleeve in position against a shoulder and to compress the "O" ring thus providing watertightness.
