Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0821449A1] The display device is clipped to a U-shaped insulating rail (1) incorporating uninsulated wires (7) acting as data lines connecting the display to a central data processor. The insulating rail has sideways-projecting flanges along its longitudinal edges, the uninsulated wires supported by an insert fitted between the opposing arms (2) of the insulating rail, with slits for insertion of the corresponding contacts (12) of the display device. The insert may have a pair of slits for each wire, positioned in either side of the latter, for insertion of a pair of knife contacts clipped in contact with the wire.
