[origin: EP0821889A2] The sports boot has an outer material with at least two cuts (7,8) separated along the boot length direction, extending from the edge of the upper (3) at the sole, over the rounded foot to the boot closure at the instep. The sections (4-6) of the outer material, separated by the cuts (7,8), are bonded together elastically by strips (9,10) of polyurethane or rubber, so that they can move in relation to each other along the cuts (7,8).
