Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0822329A2] The feed pump has a pumping chamber (3) containing a pair of rotary gears (7,9). the fuel is fed from a reservoir connected suction chamber (13) between the rear face of the gears and the circumferential wall of the pump chamber feed duct (17) connected to the fuel injection pump pressure chamber (15). A drive (8) is connected to one of the pump shafts by an overload safety coupling (10). The coupling may be drive locked with the bore (31) of the drive shaft section (32).
