[origin: EP0822614A1] The cable connector (1) has a clamp lug (3) with an insulating sheathing (6), for securing the cable connector to an electrical conductor (2) via a screw (9). The insulating sheathing has an opening (7) on the opposite side of the clamp lug to the electrical conductor for reception of the screw. The insulating sheath may be provided with a cap (17) which fits over the opening for the clamp screw and which is secured to the remainder of the insulation via a snap-fitting connection.

Der Kabelverbinder hat eine Klemmfahne zur Befestigung des Kabelverbinders mittels einer Schraube an einem elektrischen Leiter. Diese Klemmfahne ist von Isoliermaterial umhüllt und die Umhüllung weist auf der dem elektrischen Leiter gegenüberliegenden Seite der Klemmfahne eine Öffnung zum Binführen der Schraube auf. Dieser Kabelverbinder ermöglicht ein einfaches Einsetzen und Einschrauben der Schraube, die vorzugsweise anschließend von einer Kappe überdeckt wird. <IMAGE>
