[origin: DE19606718A1] The invention relates to a multi-layer bag filter (1) with a filter bag (2) and a securing plate (3), especially for a vacuum cleaner, with a first inner layer and a second outer layer, where the first layer takes the form of a fine fibre web. In order to provide an improved bag filter of the description with adequate mechanical strength, it is proposed that the second layer be more permeable to air than the first and that the second layer consist of a stabilised plastic tangle-fibre arrangement to bear mechanical stresses.
