Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19516223A1] A doctor device for the inking system of a rotary printing press has a doctor blade carrier (11) designed as a profiled strip with a groove-shaped recess. Two parallel, approvimately roof-shaped doctor blades (30, 31) adjustable against an inking roller (2) are secured on the doctor blade carrier. The doctor blades delimit an ink-receiving chamber (20) together with the inking roller (2), the groove-shaped recess of the doctor blade carrier and sealing means (33, 34) arranged at the ends of the doctor blade carrier. In order to satisfactorily seal the ink-receiving chamber against ink leakage, the groove-shaped recess has a central part that forms a main chamber and lateral parts (40, 41) arranged at the ends of the groove-shaped recess that form lateral chambers (38, 39). The lateral chambers communicate with the main chamber through throttle slits (42, 43). The ink feeding duct (21) opens into the main chamber. The lateral parts are provided with ink discharge ducts (22, 23) and venting bores (24, 25).
