[origin: EP0823235A2] The device comprises a first operating plate (2) which carries material (9') capable of absorption and suction of fluid on a scale much greater than suction ability of the floor mop. A second operating plate (2') presses the floor mop against the material capable of suction, which is actually arranged on the second operating plate. The material capable of suction may be sponge, e.g. viscous sponge. For introduction of rods, possibly cardanic rod fixtures and frames of the holder with the floor mop attached, recesses are provided, which pass through the operating plates, the tension plates (3,3') and the sponge formation. The operating plates effecting the pressing action are linked (7) to each other, whereby the upper (2') engages over the lower hat-fashion and the plates are pressable against one another.
