Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0823616A2] A vibrating gyro (10) which includes a vibrator (12) formed by joining two piezoelectric substrates (14, 16), which are polarized in opposite directions, by a metal layer (18). Electrodes (20, 24) are formed on the main outer surfaces of the piezoelectric substrates (14, 16). One (20) of the electrodes (20, 24) is split into six electrode portions. As the metal layer (18), a material having a melting point lower than the Curie point of the piezoelectric substrates (14, 16) is used. Cut portions (26) are formed on the joining sides of the piezoelectric substrates (14, 16), and high-temperature metal wires or the like are passed through the cut portions, thereby forming support members (28). <IMAGE>
