[origin: WO9635020A1] A building element is disclosed having a cast mineral body, in particular a drainage channel having a channel body with a substantially U-shaped cross section and a cast metal frame (1) with bearing surfaces (3) at the top of the channel body for receiving a cover grating. The cast metal frame (1) is cast into the channel body made of polymer-concrete and has an elongated, shaped supporting bar (4) arranged below the bearing surface. Holding rods (6) are mutually spaced along the supporting bar and extend substantially perpendicularly to the bearing surface. A transverse projection (7) shaped at the free end (6') of at least some holding rods (6) prevent the frame (1) from being lifted off the channel body.
