[origin: EP0824006A2] The simple chair has an elastic, inflatable cushion (1) held in the top of the hollow cylinder (2) by rounded lips of the cylinder. The bottom of the cylinder is closed (4) and the underside of the cylinder is fitted with studs (5) or castors to sit on the ground. The sides of the cylinder have slots (7) for handgrips. The cross-sectional shape of the cylinder matches that of the inflated cushion, eg. a circular cylinder for a ball-shaped cushion. The cushion is removed to gain access to the storage space inside the cylinder. The cylinder can be made from a variety of materials. A chair back can be fitted to the cylinder if required.
