[origin: EP0824028A1] The home trainer consists of a frame (1) in which pedals (21) are mounted which drive a disc (24) of an eddy current brake via a belt drive (20). The support bearings (30) for the disc and the electromagnet (29) are mounted on the same support plate (31). The support plate is mounted via shock absorbing arrangements, such as rubber blocks, on the frame of the bicycle. Some of the elastic supports are mounted vertically between the frame and the support plate while others are mounted horizontally.
