Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0824160A1] In a process for making paper pulp containing fibres from annual plants or secondary products, the fibres are shortened before the bleaching stage to a length which enables a homogeneous, pumpable suspension of them to be prepared. Also claimed is a process in which the fibres and the water are simultaneously introduced into a mixing device, briefly centrifuged, and fed to a refiner. Further claimed is a similar process in which the fibres are shortened to a length which enables a suspension of them to be processed in conventional pumps.
