Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0824208A1] The oil fired heater consists of a radiant convector heater with a wick, and an associated thermostat. The thermostat (1) consists of a sensor (1a) and an analyser (1b) together with a monitoring device (1c) and a control section (1d). The thermostat may be connected to an independent source of energy (2), such as a pair of 1.5 volt batteries. The thermostat may be connected prior to an actuator (3) arrangement which consists of a motor (3a) and a mechanism acting on the wick of the heater, and the burner itself (3c).
