Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0824259A2] The inductor's coil is formed with a printed circuit board (10) that has parallel tracks (12) used to form the coil. The board has a rectangular centre slot (16) that fits over a centre guide in a carrier board (20) of electrically insulating material. The coil is formed by connecting the tracks to pins (34). These pins project (40) on one side to externally mount on a circuit board. Standard spacings are used (a). A cover encloses the assembly (42), and a magnetic core fits around the centre section with a centre limb that enters the centre aperture.
