[origin: WO9633911A1] The securing device (1) for transmitting thurst between an engine, especially a diesel engine, and the hull (15) of a ship comprises a thrust sleeve (16) running through an aperture (150) in the hull (15) of the ship which has a larger cross-section than that of the thrust sleeve (16). The space (1516) between the edge of said aperture (150) in the hull (15) of the ship and the outside of the thrust sleeve (16) is filled to excess in the region of the aperture (150) with a casting compound (19). A bolt (14) running through the thrust sleeve (16) and is supported on one side on the engine casing (11, 13) and on the other side on the hull (15) of the ship is pretensioned.
