[origin: WO9633100A1] The invention concerns a folding box with a rectangular cross section, the box having an inner liner (2) and a hinged lid (4). The liner (2) projects out above the outer walls of the box (1) and forms a raised collar (3). The lid (4) has, at least along its free edges, a skirt (5) running round at right angles. When the box (1) is closed, this skirt lies directly against the collar (3) round the top of the liner (2). Hinged to the top of at least one side of the liner (2) is a sealing flap (6) which is bent slightly inwards. When the lid (4) is closed, the sealing flap (6) presses against the lid with a spring action.
