Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9635063A1] Continuously variable, high performance transmission system for an engine, comprising an input shaft (E) and an output shaft (S), a planetary transmission (T) and two drive linkages (L1, L2), with a constant speed ratio and with a continuous speed variation respectively. The planet carrier (28) of the planetary transmission (T) is rotatably connected to the first drive linkage (L1), the ring gear (26) is secured in rotation to the shaft (S) and the sun gear (22) is secured in rotation to the second drive linkage (L2). The second linkage may also be connected to rotate with the shaft (S) by a clutch mechanism (E2) while the first linkage may be disabled by a clutch mechanism (E1).
