[origin: EP0825290A1] The appts. to spread out wet fabric piece goods, and especially sensitive materials (2), has at least one spreader jet (8,9) across the max. working width of the assembly (1) in front of the spreader roller (7) in the direction (3) of fabric travel. They subject the material to a delivered medium, under pressure, through a number of jet openings (8a,8b;9a,9b), which are aligned outwards to the fabric edges (2a,2b) from the centre longitudinal plane (1a).
