[origin: EP0825323A2] The window or door is designed to be secure against illegal entry. The door or window has a wooden frame (1) reinforced with first (22) and second (23) thick metal plates with a wooden spacer element (10) between them and connected by bolts (4). The two metal plates overlap the sides of the glass pane (6) and one of the edges may be sealed with silicone material (50). An angle-iron or L-shaped strip of metal (32) is included in the fixed frame and the short (31) leg of the L-shape is contacted by the second plate in the moving window frame. The short leg is in contact with a thick metal strip (30,33) in the fixed frame.
