Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0825574A1] The collecting lens (2) focusses the heat radiation from persons on to an infrared sensor (6) the signal from which is processed in a circuit board (4). The infrared sensor is positioned, viewed from the lens, in a plane behind the circuit board. In this area the circuit board has an opening (8) which provides the focussed heat radiation with access to the infrared sensor.The sensor can be fixed to a sensor mounting secured in the edge region of the opening forming a receptacle for the sensor behind the circuit board and the sensor mounting can have a support for mirrors.
