Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9632957A1] The present invention relates to methods and compositions for altering the cytokine pattern of activated autoreactive T-cells, particularly inflammation-promoting T-cells in patients afflicted with an autoimmune disease, and for diminishing immune responses associated with autoimmune disease. The invention includes a method to alter the cytokine pattern from a first pattern that promotes immune responses, Th0, to an altered version of the first pattern that downregulates immune responses.
