[origin: WO9629721A1] A female fuse (10) has a one-piece fuse link (20) and thermal blocks (24) molded around fuse clips (30). The fuse link (20), thermal blocks (24), and fuse clips (30) are enclosed in an insulating housing (40). The fuse link (20) and thermal blocks (24) may be made by various processes but are preferably injection-molded as a one piece unit. The resulting fuse is smaller in size and operate at a cooler temperature than prior art fuses.
