[origin: EP0826333A2] The scrubber roller (4) is rotatably driven on a pivot axle and is mounted on the travelling scrubbing machine. A roller body made of tangled fibres (18) is connected to a bearing shaft (12) of non-circular cross-section. A passage through the middle of the roller body directly in the tangled fibres matches the cross-section of the bearing shaft. The bearing shaft has a circular sectioned core with radially protruding slats (13). The central passage has a circular inner part (16) and radially protruding slits (17). The roller body consists of a number of disc shaped single elements (14).
