Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0826468A2] The method and device for cutting sausages has a first transport device which is a conveyor belt (1) which moves the sausage (11) to a first blade (3). The blade is used to cut the sausage into slices (12). The slices are then fed on a second conveyor belt (4) to a second knife assembly (6) which cuts the slices into strips. The conveyor belts are kept under tension by a series of pulleys. The knives in the second knife assembly are mounted cross-wise to the axis of the strips and neighbouring blades are driven in opposite directions. The strips are passed to a final blade assembly (7) to be cut into small shaped pieces (14).
