[origin: EP0826494A1] The printer unit has at least one pair of cylinders contg. a plain cylinder (2,3) and a transfer cylinder (4,6), whose drive gear wheels are mutually engaged. The addendum circle diameter (dk23,dk26) of the transfer cylinder's drive wheel (23,26) is smaller than the transfer cylinder's diameter. The plain cylinder's drive gear wheel (22,24) or the transfer cylinder's drive gear wheel has a profile shift while the engaging drive wheel has no profile shift.
