Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0826604A2] The container has a cylindrical sheet metal shell (2) with ends covered by a protective cover (7, 8) e.g. of rubber. It has an annular element (13, 14) completely enclosed in the protective cover (or in both of them). This spreads any load on the protective covers onto a greater area of the metal shell. The annular element may be a metal tube of circular cross section lying directly on the outer wall of the shell. Its external diameter may be between 10 and 20 mm and its wall thickness between 0.5 and 2.5 mm.
