[origin: EP0826622A1] The escalator includes chain rollers and idling rollers for the steps or pallets run on the guides which have idling roller rails or chain roller rails extending over the course of the escalator or moving pavement and return curves (12,14). At least part of the guides, esp. the return curves are made of deep-drawn sheet metal. The deep-drawn plates have ledges or shoulders (38) extending along the roller tracks (24) directly next to them.
