Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0826829A2] The machine (1) has a machine frame (5) with ballast lifter (11) and lifter chain (16), and a conveyor (22) with lifter end (21). Positioned behind the ballast lifter is a sweeper unit (28) with sweeper bush (31), which is height-adjustable via drives (27). The brush has a horizontal rotary axis (30), at right angles to the longitudinal machine direction. The gathering end (32) of a second conveyor (33) is directly associated with the brush. The ejection end (26) of the first conveyor is located above the second conveyor. The ejection end (35) of the second conveyor projects over the rear machine end.
