[origin: EP0826833A2] The device comprises concrete elements (1) arranged in a row in the longitudinal direction of a road and connected to each other. The concrete elements are provided alongside the road or between the lanes of a road and have similar designs. The elements have an upwards sloping collision surfaces (3) on their road associated wall faces (2). Inward fixed connection members (5) are provided on their ends at right angles to the collision surfaces to enable the concrete elements to engage in each other. The connecting members are connected onto a fixed cage (6) which corresponds to at least the width and height of the connecting members.
