[origin: EP0826844A1] The support (1) incorporates four corner strips (10-13), which have at least two side surfaces running to each other at right-angles and with one of the side surfaces locating on one of two side surfaces running plant-parallel to each other. On all four vertical sides of the support core between two corner strips, groove type hollow spaces are formed for accommodating wall, window and/or installation components. Paired opposing hollow spaces have virtually the same depth. The support core is divided vertically into two core parts (5,6) which are joined together by screws (15) or tension components.
