Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0826847A2] The device has at least one load-carrying element (4) to transmit force across a gap (3), especially in a concrete structure which is reinforced with steel. The element is made from one or more bars, which only have parts with rectangular cross sections. The element may have a flat bar with a rectangular cross section, in order to transmit vertically aligned forces. At least one end may be bent, and preferably both ends may be bent in order to form a double hook. At least one bent end may also shape-mate with the concrete, or may be able to be inserted into a sleeve (5) in the latter.
