Abstract (en)
The cutting pliers comprises two branches (3,4) pivoted to each other about a transverse spindle (5). One branch has a cutting blade (40) at its end and the other branch end has a hollow seat (30) for receiving the tube. The blade has two cutting edges (41,42) forming an obtuse angle of between 120<o> and 150<o>. This is such that the angle ( alpha ) between the cutting edge (41) furthest from the spindle and a straight line (F) passing through a point (43) in the blade and the spindle, is greater than the angle ( beta ) formed by the other cutting edge and the line. The point describes during pivoting a circular arc (A) which cuts the line segment (D) joining the spindle and the tube centre (C) of larger diameter resting in the seat. The start of the cut is made by the point and the end of the cut is made only by the cutting edge (41) furthest from the pivoting spindle.

Il comprend deux branches (3, 4) articulées en pivotement l'une à l'autre autour d'un axe (5), dont l'une est munie d'une lame de coupe (40), tandis que l'autre comporte un siège en creux (30) destiné à recevoir le tube, la lame (40) comporte deux tranchants (41, 42) faisant un angle saillant compris entre 120° et 150°, et de manière que l'angle (a) formé par le tranchant (41) le plus éloigné de l'axe (5) et une droite (F) passant par la pointe (43) de la lame (40) et l'axe (5) soit plus grand que l'angle (β) formé par l'autre tranchant (42) et la droite (F); et la pointe (43) de la lame (40) décrit un arc de cercle (A) qui coupe le segment de droite (D) qui joint l'axe (5) et le centre (C) du tube de plus grand diamètre susceptible de reposer dans le siège (30). <IMAGE>
