Abstract (en)
The friction pump of the Holweck type incorporates cylindrical rotors which have a smooth surface and cylindrical stators which surround the rotors. The stators have parallel spiral channels. A pumping area is created in the gap between each rotor and stator. The rotors are built-up from several cylindrical parts (5) which are mounted co-axially to one another. The stator is built-up from co-axially mounted cylindrical parts (6) which each surround the cylindrical parts of the rotor. The parallel pump channels (7) are shaped so that parallel acting pump elements are formed which pump the gas from the suction opening (2) to the outlet (3).
Abstract (de)
<IMAGE>
