[origin: EP0828205A1] Time display for a mobile phone, which communicates via a base station (A) and from which a time signal is received. The time signal is transmitted from the base station, where a counter (5) counts through an endless cycle between two end-points and the emitted counter signal is converted by the mobile telephone into a time, which can be shown on the phone's display. The base station (A) includes a device (1,3) to reset the counter and a device (2,4) for transmission of the counter state. The mobile phone has circuits for calculating the time from the received counter state.
