Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0828273A2] The electrical switch has a pair of conductors Ä14,15Ü ,one of which has a contact Ä21Ü on a bimetallic strip Ä25Ü and normally this engages a fixed contact Ä26Ü. When the current is such that a temperature threshold is exceeded the bimetallic strip responds and the contacts open. An additional safety feature is included in the form of a temperature sensitive spring Ä27Ü that expands and when a critical temperature value is reached opens the contacts.
