[origin: DE19636109C1] A circuit breaker with couplable auxiliary switch (HS) in which the circuit breaker has a switch lock (11) with a switch shaft (16) or with a switch slide via which the main contact (24) of the circuit breaker and the auxiliary contacts (26,27) of the auxiliary circuit breaker can be switched. No linkage of the auxiliary switch to the switch shaft (16) exists in the ON position of the circuit breaker, and during change into the OFF state of the circuit breaker, after over-riding pre-travel (28), the switch shaft actuates a change in the (switch) state of the auxiliary switch. The pre-travel (28) is specifically provided between the switch shaft (16) and a slide (21).
