[origin: DE19519693C1] The drum is filled with a secondary fluid such as salt water through a lower compartment of the distributor foot (7) up to a fluid level lying radially inwards of the inlet openings (16) of the supply channels (6) to this compartment. The fluid mixture is supplied with reduced power through the lower compartment to a radially inward fluid level which covers the inlet openings of the supply channels to an upper compartment of the distributor foot. The fluid mixture is then supplied with full power through both compartments of the distributor foot. The upper and lower compartments (14,15) communicate with each other peripherally.
