Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9637411A1] A tubular body has four or more fold lines, of which two (1, 4) converge towards one end of the tubular body and the two remaining ones (2, 3) converge towards the other end thereof. Two side regions (11, 13) can be folded back against the inner surface of a third region (12). The dimensions of the fourth side region (14) are such that, when the body is folded, the said region readily fits between bounding fold lines (1, 4). When the tubular body is expanded, it undergoes maximum deformation, so that it remains stable both in the folded state and in the expanded state. The invention is useful for obtaining varying shapes, stabilising the body in its expanded state and making housings to be used as disposable vases, containers for liquids or creams, or boxes.
