Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0829277A2] The handles (2) are moved against spring action towards a supporting bar (3) coupled to them by a telescopic rod (1). Two or more springs (4-6) with different spring constants are supported on components (1a,1b) of the rod which are movable in relation to each other, and enclose the rod on the outside. The springs can be made of elastomer material mounted in series and in ascending order of stiffness, and they can be colour-coded. The top component of the rod can be interrupted by an elastic body, typically made of hard rubber, allowing the rod to be swung out to the side.
