Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0829313A2] The workpieces to be cleaned are transported in and out of a passage containing an air-jet nozzle aimed at them. The maximum pressure of the air supplied to the nozzle is 0.5 bar approximately. Steam is delivered into the air jet, and the contaminated condensate formed from the steam is separated from the used air. At the nozzle (16), the jet contains a maximum of 25g steam per cu. metre of air. Apart from an inlet and outlet port (12), which can preferably allow shutting off, the passage (10) can be enclosed on all sides. The passage, air compressor, nozzle and condensate-separator can form a closed circuit.
