Abstract (en)
A printing method for a dual head ink-jet printer is described. The printer has first and second printhead installation positions for receiving monochrome and/or colour printheads. For each printhead installation position, it is confirmed whether a monochrome or colour printhead is installed. The appropriate installed printhead corresponding to the type of print data received is selected and an image is printed in accordance with the print data using the selected printhead. <IMAGE>
