Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0829586A2] The concrete structure is made by first inflating an elastic shape to take the final form of the structure. Retaining profiles (20) are secured to the inside of the elastic shape. The retainers are bonded to the shape by an initial layer (24) of concrete. Reinforcing bars (22) are next fitted to the retainers and the whole inside structure is secured by successive layers (26) of concrete. The retainers have mounting plates (28) which are secured to the inside of the inflated shape using double sided adhesive tape. Insulating layers can be applied to the inflated structure before the retainers are fitted. The layers provide thermal insulation as well as damp proofing. The structure is secured onto a base.
